Final Draft Double Page Spread

This is the final draft, double page spread. I think this double page spread looks professional and like a real magazine, due to the layout, images and colour. I slightly changed the left hand side of the double page spread by making a bigger article and moving the image to the bottom right of the page. Again, I added the same background colour as I felt that this makes the pink and blue colour stand out a lot more.

Final Draft Contents Page

This is the final draft, contents page for my music magazine. I have changed this quite a lot, by adding more images and taking away one image. I felt that by adding things such as 'iPhone Giveaway' makes the magazines seem more real and professional as you would often find competitions like this in real magazines. I also added the background from the front cover to the contents page as it looked very boring with white space. I have also stuck with the same colour scheme which makes the magazine seem much more professional and consistent.

Final Draft Front Cover

This is the final draft front cover for my music magazine. As you are able to identify, I have slightly changed the front cover by using two main colours: bright pink and black. The reason for this is because I wanted the audience to recognise my magazine through knowing it uses the colour scheme of pink and black. I think these colours really make the magazine seem appealing to the eye because the pink is bright and this colour is clear who my target audience is. I also added a background to the magazine to make it look a lot more funky and a lot less boring, as it looked quite dull with a white background, however I feel that the green background makes the front cover look a lot more interesting and takes your attention away from where there was once white space.

Second Draft

This is the second draft of my magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread. As you can see from the first draft, the front cover especially has been altered a lot. I decided to use the long shot image of Molly because it looked more like a magazine cover. I also made the LOUD text larger so it is obvious that this is the name of the magazine. I used yellow text for the most important parts of the magazine to stand out the most.

The contents page has also been altered slightly but still contains white space which I know can be filled so that the page looks more busy and interesting to the audience.

The double-page spread has been altered a lot too, I think it looks more professional because it contains a large article on the right side and a smaller article on the left. I used the original cover photo for the double-page spread because I felt that it did not look like much of a cover photo.
