First Draft Double Page Spread

This is the magazine's double page spread that I designed and created using the Indesign Software. The left hand side is of course and interview with bright colours of pink and some green. The questions of the article have been put in pink to show that the questions are important and want to stand out. The answers are in black otherwise too much pink may look slightly unprofessional and too 'busy' on the page. At the top of the page, a quote from the interview with a pop artist has been put in bold italic to stand out and look important so the audience will be interested in knowing what the quote is about and what it is referring to in the interview. On the right column of the interview there is a quote from one of the answers which may intrigue the audience and the text and quote sounds interesting and seems like 'gossip' females especially would be attracted to this. Also, to take away the fact that lots of pink is used I also added in green which is also bright and looks important so the audience know what the interview is about. Pictures often capture the audiences' eye so I added in a picture on the top right so the audience know who the interview is with.

On the right hand side of the double page spread, it is much more simpler as it is one long-shot image of a girl looking quite 'rock/chick' by holding an electric guitar at a slant. The image has been photoshopped to make the background smooth and whiter and make the dark clothing stand out. so that the background does not look too empty I added in text of quotes and eye catching information that is also in the magazine about the girl in the image. The name of the girl in the image has been added in funky, green text on the top left so people know who she is.
